Vagabond Inn Bishop

"So far the best place and value I have stayed in Bishop annually for the past 30 years. Excellenct complimentary breakfast. Great value. Spacious rooms. Good bed. Excellent support staff. Issues were minor but plan to stay their again on my trip next year. Unlike other places I have stayed where my stays are a week long, room service was offered daily. It is also in short to medium walking distance to some of Bishops best restaurants grocery stores, and a park. Additionally it had a fairly working great air conditioner that could be adjusted by the user with a remote and free good WiFi. The fully working air conditioner was a godsend given on most days Bishop temperature was around 100 degrees or more. Also has a large pool and a small one for childern, laundry appliances and a fish cleaning station. Minor Issues: -bottom of one of sheer curtains was shredded but main curtain ok - hot and cold bathroom faucet were reversed - found some womens hair in sink on first day - front wall has poor soundproofing - handsoap bar was messy when wet - no handholds in tub shower and bottom could be better textured to avoid slipping - no provisions such as hooks for hanging waders, wet boots, socks for fisher persons. - requirement of having photo id such as drivers license when checking in. - warn electric socket on bed lighting fixture required adjust plug contacts for good connection. All in all a great place to stay at with a affordable and great value rate"

"One of the few hotels on the eastern end of Yosemite NP, so a convenient location if you want to visit the park. Property is kinda old, but decently maintained. Bathroom fixtures were jammed and hard to move (and when they moved, it let out a tremendous water flow). 10am checkout is a bit early (11am would be nice as it is standard in many places). No breakfast included, but they gave a 10% off coupon for their restaurant."
