"The staff was very helpful and friendly. Although they have no parking there was plenty of free parking close by. The internet simply doesn't work. Don't count on using it on the room. You have to go to the lobby for it. The location is close enough that we walked to Ortigia and also to the archeological site. Not the prettiest site but had a good breakfast. There was a smell on the corridor/room that could be a mix of smoke or mold (couldn't identify it) but it wasn't that bad. Overall for the price it was good and I would stay there again."

"This hotel is a gem! I wanted to move in. The staff was extremely helpful. We parked our car with them and the fee is 40 euros but that is absolutely the going rate for hotel parking in Ortigia. Luca, the Desk Manager was a delight. We made last minute reservations and he was so helpful and welcoming. We absolutely love our rooms facing the sea. I slept with my window open and enjoyed the sounds of the waves all night. Luca also made dinner reservations for us and we had a marvelous evening. I wanted to move in. The hotel is new but comfortable. The bathroom/shower was well laid out and luxurious."

Grand Hotel Villa Politi

"Overall, we had a good stay at Grand Hotel Villa Politi. The hotel has a beautiful historic character and was very clean. The breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of both continental and traditional Italian options. The swimming pool was another great highlight. Its location was very convenient for travelling by car, just outside the ZTL, with on-site parking available. However, the hotel has quite a lot of stairs, which can make getting around less convenient, and we found the staff could have been more helpful and attentive. Overall, a good option for exploring Syracuse, especially for travellers arriving by car."

"Room very clean, staff welcoming. Roof top terrace a bonus. 20 mins brisk walk to Ortigia. Plentiful breakfast but it would have been good to see real preserves and authentic pastries."

San Giorgio Palace Hotel

"This hotel was beautiful. Everything about it was five-star. We were greeted by the desk clerk who arranged for our luggage to be brought up. The rooms were great and access to Regusa Ilba was easy-breezy. 2 minute walk into the main square. Breakfast was very nice and the outdoor patio was very nice as well. We would highly recommend this hotel and Ragusa Ilba."
