"I love the historical history of this hotel. I know its hard times right now to keep up the property (its large) and too expensive to cool the whole building; but the rooms are very nice and quiet. I would definitely stay here again, its a great value and not a long drive to the Galveston cruise terminal (about an hour). This is now my go to for a night before boarding."

"The beach house was great. We enjoyed watching the sunrise on the balcony each morning. The walk to the beach was easy to get to. The house is very spacious. The grandchildren loved that there was toys and games for them to play with. We liked that three of the rooms had their own balconies. "

"This beach house is absolutely amazing. It is the perfect spot for large families and gatherings. We had about 40 family members in town for the weekend, and we were all so comfortable. The bedrooms with a bathroom in each bedroom are such an added plus and made it so easy for everybody to have their own space. The living and dining area is so spacious that we were all able to comfortably sit, eat, play games (Bingo, cards, dominoes) and even line dance "Boots on the Ground", etc. The kitchen area is a dream with 2 islands and double sinks in each island and multiple burners on the stove. It makes it so easy to have several cooks in the kitchen preparing meals. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need. The beach is easily accessible and has a very nice walkway from the house leading directly to the beach. There are not many homes close by which makes it almost feel like you have your own private beach. The sunsets and sunrises are breathtaking.The new Pirates play area that was just built was super fun for the kids, in addition to the Theater room and Media room. This house has everything you need. We had a few minor glitches, but the host Andrew was super responsive. We had such a wonderful time creating cherished memories that we plan to come back next year.Cathy Morris-Jimmerson"
"We had a great stay! We had four families consisting of kids, parents, and grandparents. The house was clean and well-stocked. It had everything we needed. Each family had their own bathroom which was really nice. The sleeping arrangements were perfect with a mix of beds and bunkbeds. We really appreciated having direct access to the beach with the walkover just feet from the house. We all enjoyed hanging out on the porch in the mornings and evenings. Plenty of room and chairs. The host really thought of everything and did a great job. The host also was super responsive. We had a situation in the kitchen our first day but the host answered our phone call, was friendly and had the issue resolved very quickly. A pleasure to work with. This house will for sure be at the top of our list the next time we want to stay in Surfside."
