"Villa Monchique Royal was the ideal place for our family holiday. The villa is spacious, clean, and very well equipped. We spent hours relaxing by the pool and enjoying meals in the outdoor barbecue area. The peaceful mountain setting provided the perfect backdrop for a stress-free break."

"The Stonehouse occupies a stunning location with panaramic views across the hills and down to the coast. Access to Monchique and its supermarket and restaurants is a matter of minutes and to south or west coast is only 30 or 40 minutes.The value is good too, at a considerably lower price than most properties in the area, but there are some compromises to be made: During our stay the pool filter didnt appear to be working so we had to use the net a lot to skim the surface. The microwve is temperamental and turned when it felt like it, but mostly it was the bed. At home we have an extra firm mattress but the one at the Stonehouse is so unforgiving we struggled to sleep, and the bed is noisy, each time one of us rolled over it woke the other up.Overall its a nice place to stay but does need a little tlc.
