"The house was clean and comfortable. Overall, a great place to stay!"

"Staff were smoking in the doorway of hotel while door opened. Sign said pool was out for season even tho it was advertised on website as functioning. There was a person asking for a refund in front of us because he said there were bed bugs and the room smelled of weed. The person working at the hotel told the gentleman that marijuana is legal in VA and some rooms allowed smoking. Our room on 4th floor had “no-smoking” signs but entire floor smelled of cigarettes and weed. Dresser was missing drawers, and hair was all over bed sheets (on top and under covers). I am actually surprised this hotel has not been shut down. It is a serious health hazard in my opinion. "

"Beautiful property and nicely renovated. Would not recommend 10 adults to stay here, as the biggest bed is a double. My husband and I ended up sleeping in separate beds. Loved having our own space for our family and not having to worry about leaving our dog while we went to non-pet friendly places on our visit. Would stay here again"

"Place is nice with clean rooms and amenities. It is close to what we wanted to do and quiet when we wanted. The only issue was at check in. There was a resort fee that was not mentioned in the listing. Then before they would give us our keys they wanted to schedule a sales presentation. They would ask questions but didn't seem to understand the word no. We had dinner reservations and needed to get checked in, unpack, and go. We were late for our dinner reservations. Besides the check in and unexpected resort fee. The unit and area is very nice. "

"We could have gotten past the fact that the house was not the cleanest or the fact that there was really no place to hung your clothes. All the bedroom closet were full on the host personal items. Most of the kitchen cabinets were also full of the host personal food, two cabinets were full of spices, most expired. And really no sets of dishes to eat off of. The smell and taste of the water was horrible. We couldn’t even brush your teeth without a using a bottle of water to rinse. We spent a lot of money on bottle water. And bathing was nearly possible to the point we left a day earlier than planned. Pictures posted of the web site definitely did not match our expectations on the place. The back deck was nearly unusable due to the dog poop all over the outside carpet. We could not find a fire pit. Our host did check on us and communicated well. We were disappointed with your stay. "
