"We loved this hotel. The entire staff was very friendly and accommodating. You walk right out the door into all of the New Orleans action. Easy walk to anywhere you need to go including trolleys and buses. We will stay again if we ever get back to NOLA. "

"I had an overnight stay during Essence Fest. The location is great, in the heart of the French Quarter, 1 block from Bourbon. Light sleepers should probably choose a different hotel. Check in was easy, hotel was well maintained. It is an older property, but still well kept. No frills, just a comfortable, good location, place to stay. Bonus......you get a discount at Mr. Ed's, it was delicious. "

"Every thing was overall great. Saved us from not having a place to stay last minute. Chain to handle to flush toilet broke but no big deal. "

"From the many times we've visited NOLA, the Monteleone was the most welcoming, most accommodating place we've stayed. Every employee was friendly and helpful. It was evident that high standards for the hotel are maintained. We had breakfast in the restaurant where the service and the flavor and presentation of the food was top notch. It was absolutely worth the extra money we spent to stay here. "

"Service and friendliness of staff was exceptional. Condition of the room was great. Location is perfect for anyone wanting to explore the heart of the French Quarter. It was a very welcoming hotel with plenty to do around it. One thing to note is that the bottles of water they drop in the room = only if you ask for them (I guess). I only had them on the first day and that was only because I said something. Thankfully, there is a great market right around the corner on Royal St with fair pricing. If you need more selection, there is Walgreens a few steps further. "
