"From what I understand, the property was recently sold. The property is aged and the room I was in and the rooms others in my group had did not look like the pictures. All rooms need to be updated. I took the sheets provided with the sleeper sofa and used them to cover the chairs in the living room so we can sit down. The carpet could also use a good cleaning. The bathrooms were the most up to date part of the suite. The kitchen could provide more pots and pans for those of us that like to prepare food. I borrowed from another person in our group in order to cook. The parking garage is not made for oversized vehicles. WE drive an Expedition and it was really tight getting in. We parked in the back of the garage because the spaces were small. With updates, Im sure it could get back to its old glory."

"The hotel was very clean and comfortable. However, the bathtubs need slip guards. My wife and i are 68 and she has a bad knee. The free breakfast was a total let down. The powdered eggs were barely warm, the sausage was bland and tasreless. Got a biscuit and some gravy. Thought there was sausage in it but was just clumps of undone powdered mix. Horrible breakfast, we went out and bought breakfast at a local restaurant, defeating what was advertised on website as a free breakfast. "

"It’s been a long time since I’ve stayed at such a wonderful place that I wanted to write a review. We usually stay at the large chains, which has really become miserable anymore. They don’t make up the room. The desk is rude, blah blah blah. Not only were we greeted with respect by a very nice lady. We had just come to inquire about a couple things and we were very very early and she just went ahead and checked us in the room was very clean. Not only was the place very nice. They actually made up the bed every day, which is not something that has happened since Covid. If we ever return to Gatlinburg will absolutely stay at the Gillette. I give it 100 stars if I could."
