"This was a very nice space. The bed was nice and comfortable and the shower had awesome water pressure. The room was however, very warm so we had to open the window the tiny amount that it opens. Unfortunately, the street below is very busy and loud. This noise made it difficult for me to get any rest. "
"Amazing room - immaculately clean, huge and luxurious.
The staff are friendly, welcoming and really efficient .
The food is lovely. Would definitely stay again "
"Comfortable bed, clean room, and wonderful service. This gorgeous little hotel had everything I needed and most importantly dedicated staff who made my stay comfortable and welcoming. "
"Just returned to a two night stay at The Swan - our room was very comfortable with lovely furnishings and a great bath and shower (bath in room!). Breakfast was excellent and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable on the area. "
"Lovely staff in the adjacent barn conversion. Very spacious room with super king bed and lovley bathroom with free standing bath and separate shower.
Had a great stay"
"Great value for money in a lovely location. Service was excellent throughout our stay. Food was of a very high quality. The accommodation seemed new and nicely designed. All in all a great place to stay!"
"Exactly what I wanted, what I have expected hearing from my family who have stayed there previously so it was great to have a relaxing time with great service and food "
"The perfect spot to enjoy the Chatsworth Estate and walk to the house.
The food is delicious and all from the area. Everyone is so kind and welcoming
I didn't want to leave!"
"Hotel was excellent - it was great to be able to use the spa facilities (we used the hot tub and sauna but didn't use the pool) as when we were there the weather was rubbish. Dinner and breakfast were great too, as were the staff."

"I booked a compact room usually these are very small but comfy. This was downstairs with only 1 other room close by. Spacious quiet and comfortable. Also cool which was nice as its unusually warm in Buxton. The piano playing in the lobby is a lovely touch "

"Clean, quiet and very well equipped. There is all the utensils and crockery you need to cook your own meals. Bed very comfortable, and great walks from the cottage. Lovely touch is there are plenty of food staples to buy should you have forgotten anything, as shops a few miles away. Would definitely return!"
Luxury cottage for three people in the Peak District National Park
10/10 Excellent
"We really enjoyed our stay here. Cottage was clean and comfortable, in a beautiful location. Felt "away from it all" but also only a 5 min drive or so from the main Buxton to Ashbourne road so easy to get to places. Owners communication was excellent and the on site facilities were good. Highly recommended! Jerry"
"Lovely complex of cottages in an ideal location with beautiful views down the valley. Clean, good location, well equipped and peaceful. I think we’ve found our favourite location in the region."
Beautiful Peak District country cottage sleeping three people
10/10 Excellent
"My husband and I have traveled to the UK several times and we always try to stay in guest cottages. This was by far the most welcoming! From the personal welcome bag to the upscale charm we loved every bit of our stay. Have you ever tried to figure out the tv remote or thermostat when away? Here everything was loving and understandably written down for us. Relaxing music was playing upon our arrival and a bottle of wine was chilling in the fridge! The country side was breathtaking too! "
"A very cosy cottage for the 2 of us and well equipped to meet our needs. The hosts have given careful thought to what clients might need on short break and I have no doubt if we had need to ask for something they would have provided it. Bikes, laundry, well equipped and brilliant games room with something for all ages, spacious grounds and external furniture ( we were very fortunate to have brilliant weather so could sit out as sun went down with drinks each night). A handful of walks of varying lengths have been suggested by the hosts , should the wider Peak District not be enough."
Luxury accessible cottage with two double bedrooms
10/10 Excellent
"Where to begin, think I may run out of superlatives! Our Sheldon Cottage was the most wonderful place to spend 4 days. The view alone was priceless. Steve and Hazel have designed the cottage to the highest possible standard and it has everything one could possibly need. It is wonderfully equipped for anyone with a disability, a wheelchair can easily whizz around all the accommodation. We loved the wonderful notices in the cottage, all suggestions rather than orders, all so gentle. Very luxurious toiletries, smell divine, we wish we could have bought some to bring a wee bit of Wheeldon Trees home. The kitchen equipment is top notch and very generous. Super furnishings throughout and oh those wooden beams!!The honesty shop is a shining example of the quality of the thoughtfulness of the hosts. The setting of the cottages is perfect, silent except for bird song. We had no mobile phone signal which was great !! I searched for a down side!! Found none, we loved it and would love to return.. Just a bit of paradise nestled in the valley. "
