You can take a longer (30 minutes to 1 hour) walk OR underground OR tram rides that are 5 minute walk away 15 minute rides. The bus tram underground ticket cost me $8 for a 24 hour unlimited pass. When we arrived in Vienna, many streets were closed for a parade and the taxi could not get closer than 1 km from the hotel. I am mobility impaired and the hotel sent someone with a wheelchair to take me to the hotel and then he returned to take my companion with 2 suitcases to the hotel. Service in excess! The breakfast buffet was fabulous and the staff was the best! Next time in Vienna I will definitely return.

Across from train station Wien HBF and close to metro stops. Food court near Canettistraße had variety of food options. Our room was perfect except there was an issue with the card holder for the electricity. Evelina took care of us and gave us a new room. If you like walking, it’s perfect to walk to many sites. Don’t miss the Albertina Museum. Also, stand in cue for a great Kebap at Gerhat Doner. Will return in the future.
