"Excellent stay with our family. The listing with the photos and details was extremely accurate. The home was stunning and appointed with such history in it's furnishings.Space with multiple levels in the home were also excellent.Seating provided inside and out was wonderful.Heat was used and worked fine.Bathrooms were very clean and start up toiletries were as first class touch.Outside deck and firepit used extensively! Beautiful settings all over the property. We fishing both the stream and mirror lake with our family. The fire pit and plenty of seating was used every night, excellent maintained fire pit unit. Quick and easy drive to downtown Highlands and 2 close by hiking trails. This was our favorite home and property in our 6 year travel to the mountains time.Steve Gabrielle ( The service provided by rental company, Rent in Highlands was outstanding. "Communication with host was perfect! I contacted Garrard the day of check in so see if we were able to check in a little earlier, and he responded quickly, allowing us early access ( we ended up checking in very close to original check in time, but appreciated the willingness). The property was beautiful and about 5 min from downtown and Old Edward Inn. The only little issues we had were figuring out the smart TVs WiFi situation and heat. We did not contact the host about it, but I’m sure it would’ve been a simple quick fix. Loved all the fern decor!"

"First Patty at check in was beyond sweet and she was so welcoming. Really wonderful employee. There were small things that were lacking like no hand soap and the shower gel was almost empty so really no soap to speak of. Also they have this cute card talking about making yourself an afternoon cup of trees but no tea. And then we returned around 8:45 and ran out to go to our car to grab surfing and left our key in the room. I called the emergency number passed at reception since no one was left at reception and the man that answered the phone literally answered it Hello. That’s it i thought i had the wrong number. Then i said i locked myself out of my room and he said well I'm an hour away so let me see if anyone at the restaurant can let you in and hung up on me. It was so odd. It left a bad taste in my mouth so even though I’m giving the place 4 stars and it does have a beautiful setting i will never stay there again"

"This lovely house in a terrific location was perfect for the six of us, who had not visited in a long time. The rooms/bathrooms were comfortable and clean, the kitchen worked great for our cocktails/snacks, the living room was the perfect spot for early morning coffee and chats. The porch with lovely fireplace made for a great after dinner place to cozy up with blankets for more catch up conversations. Truly a perfect place for us all to gather as we enjoyed Highlands! "

"We had such a great stay even just for 1 night. The property was extremely cozy and centrally located. The front yard is so welcoming. We had a Bunkhouse lower level room which allows dogs for a fee. Be aware the rooms are on the smaller side but ours did have a patio that helped make it seem bigger. My only complaint was that the restaurant wasn’t open on a Sunday evening despite it being busy season. We would have loved to check it out. However they offered coffee and a super tasty breakfast loaf to hold us over through checkout. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to stay in Highlands. "
