"Planned a short getaway to hike Mount Mitchell and this place could not have been more perfectly located to the trailhead. The Lodge is newly built, and ground are impeccably well maintained. The staff was super helpful. They even came by to drop off a lighter so the firepit could be put to use. They have a common use area with a ktichen and grills that can be utilized which is an added bonus as I don’t recall reading about all they had available to make the stay above and beyond expectations....

"Very nice home, clean, comfy, cozy, had absolutely everything you need. Everything was so very easy, not one issue.Our daughter got married in Rutherfordton, so we stayed here for the few days. We also went to the village and surrounding areas. It was so nice to see so many people out and continued support for the area. Still so sad though to see all the damage from the storm. We love the area and will always be back."

"The restaurant, Vue 1913 is definitely worth the trip. One of the best meals of my life. I wasn't able to stay check out the spa because it was an impromptu trip and they are booked up. However my next planned trip will definitely include a massage package. Excellent newly renovated bathrooms. And a cozy fireplace. This might be a great winter destination."

"The house itself was wonderful. Large dining room and living room. Great windows to look at the lake. Clean and well kept. Easy to find and close to everything. One thing we did not see and would have been nice to know was that there're no stairs to the lower level where 4 of the beds are from the inside. The only way to get to them was from the outside. We also knew there were stairs down to the lake, but did not realize there was about 6 flights of steps down. It was fine for my husband and I, but not for my parents who are older. We would stay again, just maybe with a different group."

"This was by far the cleanest home we have rented. The pictures doesn’t do justice how beautiful and spacious the cabin is. The host had everything we needed to cook meals, he even had a grill outside. Rodney was available if we needed and answered quickly. Relaxing on the porch was my favorite part of this vacation. The location is perfect, less than 15 minutes to downtown Asheville and quiet enough to relax in peace."
