"The stay was incredible! My friends and I had the most amazing girls getaway here. The service was incredible, and I think that the quality was great for the cost. The weather was nice when we were there, but a bit windy on the second day. The quality of the food was great as well. I have no complaints and would love to stay here again someday! "

"No attendant at the check-in, no staff in the hotel thru out my stay. You have to call their sister hotel and ask the staff to walk over for check in, then you are on your own. "

"Exceptional traditional ryokan if you want to relax in Hakone & Yugawara! The thoughtfulness and service of the staff was wonderful in every aspect. Rooms were supplied with traditional robes, comfortable sleepwear, onsen on our terrace and hot spring baths. Kaiseki cuisine was delicious, plentiful and presentation was over the top. This is a beautiful facility with an excellent staff. If you want to experience Japanese culture at its finest you need to come here. Our 4 day visit was perfect...

"Wonderful stay in this beautiful ryokan with private hot spring bath and a breakfast and dinner that would put Michelin starred restaurants to shame. Everyone was so friendly and the owner popped us in her car unexpectedly to see her favorite cherry blossoms at night. The room was extremely comfortable and well equipped. We loved it!"

"Incredible. Setsuko-san and the rest of the staff were amazing. The ryokan is beautiful and peaceful. Meals were among the best I’ve ever had, and they were so accommodating with my picky kids. The onsen are wonderful. Seriously, we can’t wait to come back."

"Good value for money.
However, please note:
• The location is quite far from the seaside, about a 15–20 minute walk.
• The building layout is complex, with many stairs.
• Overall cleanliness is acceptable.
• It is evident that the place is understaffed — most of the time, only one staff member is present.
• It may be difficult to find assistance when needed, as the staff might be on an upper floor.
• Breakfast is extremely simple.
• Be aware that the curfew is at 11:00 PM"

"Staying here was one of our highlights. The onsen was amazing. Clean and very enjoyable. Our room was also very clean and comfortable. The futons were very soft, and the air circulation was good.
The only thing is, i wish we booked more nights here."

"The hotel was amazing! We had a private onsen room, which was very relaxing before having beautiful 5 course dinners in the hotel restaurant. The staff were so kind and friendly to us. We don’t speak Japanese but we were made to feel very welcome.
