Far enough away from the touristy areas that you felt like you were in a local neighborhood, but close enough that it was an easy walk to many of the highlights. "The property is perfectly located in a historic building and square that is lively with people. Beautiful room with a comfortable bed. Peaceful sleep. Only annoyances were a loose toilet seat, and a clogged bathroom vent fan, which was ineffective as a result. Why don’t hotels regularly check these kinds of things? Also, to get into the hotel you must run a gauntlet of restaurants and their touts, including one for this hotel, who try to get you to eat there."

"Small no frills hotel. Immaculately clean and bedrooms very comfy. Excellent breakfast with good choice of hot and continental. Lots of bars and restaurants nearby . 15 mins walk into old town- 10 mins to castle and river."
