8/10 Good

"Location was great for us but expect some road noise during the night if you’re in the rooms facing the front (as we were). Could have done with a larger double bed, but that’s just me, that said, the room was huge, well furnished, well supplied with tea/coffee/ hot chocolate facilities. Shower was good and powerful. Staff were helpful and friendly. Parking was very easy, right outside. Value for money? I think it was just about right. Would definitely stay there again."

"There was no car park and the parking we did find was expensive and inconvenient. The lift wasn't working for most of our stay and when it did work my wife and I both got trapped in it on separate occasions. It was also rather small. The pillows were passed their usefulness date. There was no bar or restaurant It was hard work to get up the stairs to our rooms especially with luggage"

"Received a warm welcome when we arrived and were directed to our room. We stayed in one of the Suites which are in a separate building from the pub, with outside steps leading down to the pub. The car can be taken up a steep slope where there is dedicated parking for each Suite room. We enjoyed a lovely cooked breakfast each morning, which was consistently delicious for the 3 days of our stay. Pre-booking is advisable for evening meals, and these were always lovely. Our Suite room was huge with a sofa (can be turned into a bed and would be ideal for a family) chair, dressing table, plenty of storage space, drawers and hanging. Lots of plug sockets. TV, tea and coffee making plus a fridge. It was cool weather during our stay and the bathroom had a heated floor which was welcome. Large walk in shower plus separate bath. Lots of windows so the place is bright and airy. Balcony with table and chairs with wonderful views overlooking the Estuary. Comfortable bed."

"Toilet bowl had small bits of excrement on it and the condition of the PROM room in my opinion was very tired in need of painting and the carpet replaced. When I phoned the owner he couldn’t come to see as he wasn’t available and completely refused to offer any refund or support . He wasn’t very professional when he swore at me and just hung up so we decided to leave and travel home so I can’t comment on the restaurant or anything else"
