One of the highlights of our trip was witnessing baby sea turtles hatching right on the shore. It was such a beautiful and unexpected surprise that made our stay even more special.The home itself was thoughtfully designed and very well appointed, with everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing visit. We enjoyed spending our evenings playing games and watching movies together. The layout was efficient and made it easy to settle in and feel at home.The sunsets were nothing short of breathtaking, painting the sky in vibrant colors each evening. We were also lucky enough to experience a full moon during our stay—it reflected off the water in the most magical way.Overall, this place exceeded our expectations in every way. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a tranquil getaway filled with natural beauty, comfort, and unforgettable moments."

"My family's house on Oak Island was prep central for a family wedding. For our sanity, my husband and I rented the "Ocean View Third Row House" for a quiet place for us to escape the chaos and remote work for 10 days. Coming from a 2-step house, we laughed that we got our daily steps in going from driveway to second floor bedroom. The master bed was very comfortable. We took advantage of the "coffee deck" a few mornings then repuposed it as the "wine down deck" a couple of evenings. The kitchen was by far the best stocked - fully equipped !!- in a rental that we've encountered. The house has smart TVs in every bedroom and the living room. The front door's smart lock is easy to operate. The property is a 4-7 minute drive to either island grocery store. Depending on your walking pace, it is 4 minutes to the beach - no need to drive. I messaged the host once during our stay. He replied quickly. Excellent customer service. Should our family's house not be available, my husband and I definitely would return to this property. "

"Great place! The house had everything we needed and was very clean. Kitchen was fully stocked and we loved having a keurig and regular coffee maker to choose from. Bedrooms had wall mounted tv, blackout curtains and comfy beds. Loved the screened in porch… Ample seating there and on the attached open deck/porch. Allen was gracious to offer recommendations, tips, etc. if/when needed. Bonus! There was a turtle nest close to us and we got to see 52 baby turtles make their way up out of the nest and into the ocean! It was the coolest thing! Great stay, great place! We’ll be back!"

"My room did not have a beach view, next to the ice machine and microwave room, which people used at 2 am. The bed was really comfy, and room was spotless. Beautiful plush pristine white bath towels. Room had a musty damp smell. Ladies in the front office and cleaning staff are all very sweet."

"October 2025…Just as beautiful in the fall. The weather was perfect ranging from 75 to 70. It was my mom‘s 81st birthday. This was the first time we all vacation together. The host responded timely to our questions. The beachfront house was lovely inside and out. The beach views were beyond our expectation. The beds were very comfortable. It was sad to say goodbye. From this, we promise to do something once a year together. Thank you Summer Salt!!!"
