"Very very friendly staff. Beautiful room for a great price. The only issue was no conditioner or shampoo in the shower so it’s kind of expected for you to wash your hair with hand soap so bring your own!!! Everything else was great. Breakfast was great. Bus stop was right in front. Didn’t go to the pool or sauna but the restaurant/bar was lovely :) Would recommend "

"From the time we walked in, shaking terrified as Americans who had just driven on the wrong side of the road for the first times in our lives, the staff was nothing but wonderful. Greeted us with smiles, and were efficient. Quiet and accomodating at all times. Breakfast was great every morning, and the relaxing free range atmosphere was exactly what we needed. We lounged in almost every room and felt at home everywhere. We had dinner there two nights and everything was excellent. Highly recommend this location! "

"This was a leisure visit. We were greeted by you are early (30 mins) which I had acknowledged before they mentioned it and said they would check. Again they said we were early but the room was ready and told Room 3 upstairs! We only have 7 rooms we were told. The room was tidy but dusty and the window although double glazed had a gale blowing through as it didn’t fully seal when closed. The shower head had more water coming out of the top of the shower head than where it was supposed to come from and wasn’t particularly warm either. You could hear every noise from people walking up the staircase to closing their doors. The staff were ok seemed to be put out when we went to the restaurant which was cold as was the rest of the building. They didn’t come across that friendly or welcoming. The building itself has the promise to be a really nice place but more attention needs to be paid to the rooms and temperature control. It did seem to have contractors staying there."

"We stayed for weekend friday to sunday. The Hotel is a traditional scottish village hotel doubling as village pub, with an old fashioned layout including a seperate entrance for the bar. So to use the bar you actually leave the hotel and re enter the bar. Some will find that quaint and charming The room was comfortable, clean and warm and everything worked. Breakfast was excellent and service was attentive. This is a small village hotel not a chain. Service reflected that, nice and attentive but not as many amenities. We enjoyed our stay "
