"The hotel has a great location and overall offers a pleasant stay. However, the non-refundable cancellation policy is quite restrictive. Additionally, while some staff members are warm and friendly, others could be more welcoming and approachable, as their lack of hospitality and warmth was noticeable at times."

"I had an exceptional experience at the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Especially the reception staff. The house keeping lady was so nice. I was totally amazed. Definitely will return and of course happy to recommend others. "

"Negatives: Housekeeping entered the room when we had the 'do not disturb' sign on the door. They also knocked the door on the last day at 11.15am and said we should've already left but we had arranged for a late checkout. We were only there for 4 nights so to have this happen on 2 occasions wasn't great. The reception staff didn't always greet/acknowledge the guests as they passed. The teabags are awful, bring your own! Breakfast was the same every morning. It would've been nice to mix it up a bit. Positives: One of the reception staff was excellent when we were checking in (Colin). He was extremely helpful and friendly, even when we requested to change rooms. The room was lovely and clean. Surprisingly very little noise from the planes and it was interesting to watch them and the nearby Dart from our window. We would definitely stay again. The rooms were good, breakfast is included. Parking is extra (£12 per day). It was very central for all the things we wanted to do and see."

"The only downside of my stay was that I have asked for a wake up call as I had an early flight in the morning and wanted to make sure that I would definitely be up but that call never came. Was very disappointed, otherwise it was a lovely and convenient place stay when travelling from Luton Airport. "

"Check in was easy enough, guy behind the bar was very friendly and showed me to my room, that’s where I was shocked. Upon entering the room, I was hit with a strong smell of must and stale sweat. The room was very dated and did not represent the photos shown on the website! Carpet covered in stains and extremely dusty at the edges, wallpaper stained and peeling off, furniture marked and falling apart, window broken and unable to be kept open, incorrect information in guest book, stained and sticky menus / leaflets, bug crawled out from guest book and onto desk! Bedding was clean but covered in hairs, pillows and mattress rock solid and uncomfortable. The bathroom was pungent with strong smell of weed! Marked walls and handles falling off, scum stained toilet and sink, non-existent shower pressure & certainly no amenities as described on website either. I understand it’s cheap, but I would rather pay the extra "

"Rooms are small but comfortable and clean. Coffee machine in our room and extractor fan in the bathroom did not work..but neither majorly Impacted our stay. The staff were super helpful and friendly. Bar and restaurant were decent. The car park is small and suitable for smaller cars. Location is decent, close to restaurants and shops. "

"Very comfortable bed. Staff was friendly and helpful. Get the breakfast included option. It’s a classic English breakfast buffet with the chef right there to make your eggs just as you like. Room was big (triple). Short walk to the train station."
