"Only stayed one night but there is a lot of building work going on "

"Room was freshly decorated and generally very clean. Bed was very comfortable. Lighting could have been a little brighter. It was cold near the poorly fitting single glazed window. Breakfast was excellent, served by a delightful member of staff. "

"Lovely pub and very nice room looking over the water and the nearby marina with a big comfortable bed and beautiful spacious bathroom. All the staff were very welcoming, helpful and friendly. The weather was very ‘British’ (wet and windy!) during our short stay, so we loved the cosy ambience of the bar and the beautiful open fire. Ate there both nights and were grateful that the food was very good, meaning we didn’t need to venture outside. The second evening, having eaten out during the day, we didn’t need a full meal so ordered a selection of starters to share, Tapas style, which wasn’t a problem and just the right amount of food for us. We chose this pub for its proximity to Buckler’s Hard, which is only a few miles away and well worth a visit. Due to the time of year, our midweek stay and the weather, the place and surrounding areas were quiet, but we imagine the pub itself and everywhere around it would - deservedly - be heaving in the summer."

"Flstvwas beautifully decorated for xmas, it was warm and comfortable and host made sure that everything was good and kept in touch. Great location and weather was perfect. Bus stop literally across the road so we took bus trips along the coast and into the new forest. Had fantastic festive break thankyou Tricia"

"We really enjoyed our stay at the Walhampton Arms. The staff were friendly, helpful, and efficient with assisting in our requests. This is a great place to stay to experience the local town. You get the perks that come with staying in a hotel balanced with the “mom and pop” feel associated with B&Bs. We will be looking to stay at their sister locations for our next city break! "

"Lovely accommodation, well maintained with all facilities you would need for a comfortable stay. Quiet location within easy flat walk of town or countryside. Yummy extras left for enjoyment of cake and wine. "

"The property has no immediate outside parking so you need to park with hazards on to unload then move to a car park 50m away. It is spread over numerous floors so not wheelchair friendly. This aside the property is spacious, clean, well appointed with a great outside area as well as indoor entertaining areas and relaxing areas.The kitchen is sizeable as is the dining area.We didn’t have pets with us yet apart from the steps access it is pet friendly and the owners have provided pet treats, foul bags and pet rugs.We had a welcome pack of Sour Dough loaf, milk and eggs which was thoughtful.The kitchen had washing liquid, tea towels and dishwasher tabs so we had no need to take ours. There are great walks from the front door and the town is a 10 min walk with an excellent variety of restaurants.Enjoy.The East End Arms, although a drive away is well worth a visit as is The Pig."
