"Lovely large room at the front of the pub overlooking the road. Stayed on a Friday night and was slightly worried it would be noisy but it wasn't at all. Very peaceful. Didn't eat in the restaurant but the drinks were good value and the breakfast was first rate. Would say far much better than many farmshops we've visisted. Lovely young lady hosting breakfast."

"Lovely little place with nice ambience in a nice location. The breakfast and choices included in the price was great. My only one suggestion is re the sofa bed - matress is really not comfortable and too thin. Maybe at the very least a mattress topper could be used if the whole mattress cant be changed."

"The view was lovely and the apartment was spacious, well equipped and comfortable. The bed sheets and pillows unfortunately let the sleep down. They smelt disgusting, like bleach. The bed was full of little bits and wasn’t very clean. Other than bad sleep, it was a nice stay. "

"We stayed on a busy Friday night for the bank holiday and the hotel was lovely. Great check in staff but a terrible experience in the Salt Bar for 2 simple drinks, over 30 minutes to get served and generally chaotic. Breakfast was an effort, with no plates for the buffet, no glasses at the buffet (placed on tables but not told to take them up for juice etc), Orders were not taken in a logical manner, hot drinks took an age to arrive and tables were not cleared properly or checked before seating people. A generally chaotic service which was quite stressful for us and others seated near us. That said, the breakfast food was great when it came out and the coffees were very nice just all a bit hectic and not very fast. "

"I would highly recommend avoiding this one.The cottage is located on a busy two lane ring road with constant traffic, buses and lorries passing right by your door. They were definitely a part of our living room experience.To give a fair review the house was clean and decorated nicely as shown, but a lot smaller than the pictures make it look.Day two we get a power cut, neighbours were fine, so just this property. Over 3 hours later, still no electricity, no heating, and still nobody has shown up, we cut our losses and leave.An offer of alternative accommodation was thrown at us belatedly halfway home and days (and many emails) later token amounts vs the cost of the night lost.Three weeks later and the agent seems to be holding items left at the house hostage pending this review. What a nightmare. "

"Flstvwas beautifully decorated for xmas, it was warm and comfortable and host made sure that everything was good and kept in touch. Great location and weather was perfect. Bus stop literally across the road so we took bus trips along the coast and into the new forest. Had fantastic festive break thankyou Tricia"

"We really enjoyed our stay at the Walhampton Arms. The staff were friendly, helpful, and efficient with assisting in our requests. This is a great place to stay to experience the local town. You get the perks that come with staying in a hotel balanced with the “mom and pop” feel associated with B&Bs. We will be looking to stay at their sister locations for our next city break! "
