"Welcoming to our dog - little gift box. It is £25 for a dog - not £25 as it says on the hotels.com website. Handy location beside the station ( no noise) and parking behind the pub. Excellent breakfast and if in Lymington would stay again."

"Clean room, good food especially breakfast, freshly cooked, not kept warm. Plenty of parking, friendly staff. My only criticism in room 1, was the lack of a clear surface to put our items on. The only table had the tea tray covering it. Window sill was above radiator. Butcombe loyalty club is worth signing up to. We hit lucky being there for my birthday, so £20 off our drinks. We were also there on a wednesday, so 25% off food. We would stay again. "

"This is a quaint place to stay. Full of history and alleged ghosts but we did not meet any! The staff are fab and we ate our evening meal there which was delicious. The room was fab."

"I would highly recommend avoiding this one.The cottage is located on a busy two lane ring road with constant traffic, buses and lorries passing right by your door. They were definitely a part of our living room experience.To give a fair review the house was clean and decorated nicely as shown, but a lot smaller than the pictures make it look.Day two we get a power cut, neighbours were fine, so just this property. Over 3 hours later, still no electricity, no heating, and still nobody has shown up, we cut our losses and leave.An offer of alternative accommodation was thrown at us belatedly halfway home and days (and many emails) later token amounts vs the cost of the night lost.Three weeks later and the agent seems to be holding items left at the house hostage pending this review. What a nightmare. "

"Flstvwas beautifully decorated for xmas, it was warm and comfortable and host made sure that everything was good and kept in touch. Great location and weather was perfect. Bus stop literally across the road so we took bus trips along the coast and into the new forest. Had fantastic festive break thankyou Tricia"

"We really enjoyed our stay at the Walhampton Arms. The staff were friendly, helpful, and efficient with assisting in our requests. This is a great place to stay to experience the local town. You get the perks that come with staying in a hotel balanced with the “mom and pop” feel associated with B&Bs. We will be looking to stay at their sister locations for our next city break! "
