Baía Madeira Hotel
8/10 Good
"Good location not far from Airport. Room was clean and looked out over the water. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast included was great. We were able to rent a car directly from inside the hotel."
Savoy Palace - The Leading Hotels of the World - Savoy Signature
10/10 Excellent
"Best hotel pool I’ve ever seen (and I travel a lot)! Bring your suit. Great hotel, location, staff, and just general vibe. Gym is spacious too. Sky bar also has a pool."
Arts In Hotel Conde Carvalhal
8/10 Good
"This was a very cute little apartment in a great area of town. We enjoyed our stay, but it did feel a bit like we were renting from a cheap landlord. There were a fair amount of small things that felt like could be fixed quickly on the property but weren't: There was a nail sticking out of a floorboard in a high traffic area, the shower head holder was broken so you had to hold it yourself, the shower wouldn't drain so you had to pause your shower every 2 minutes to let it catch up - and I think this drain issue was also causing a slight smell issue in the washroom. The cupboard labeled "first aid" had no first aid kit in it. All minor things that didn't impact our stay, but worth noting. The walls are fairly thin so if people come and go in the hallway you can hear it clearly. We were appreciative that we could check-in early, however the person at the reception gave us the wrong address despite us questioning why it was different from what google maps labeled. So we kept trying to get into the wrong building before just going where google maps labeled and correctly getting in there. It was convenient that we could enter the property with a code instead of carrying a key."
Reid's Palace, A Belmond Hotel, Madeira
10/10 Excellent
"Absolutely gorgeous property with attentive staff!"
Hotel Riu Madeira - All Inclusive
10/10 Excellent
"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Riu Madeira Palace in October. The staff was lovely and so efficient. The property is gorgeous and I can’t think of one thing we wished for. The food was great. As a Celiac the buffet was clearly labeled and I felt confident making choices and ate a variety without getting sick. The self serve coffee and beverages made morning sunrises a favorite. The views are spectacular and the are made for lovely walks. We would go back in a heartbeat."
The Editory Ocean Way Funchal

Castanheiro Boutique Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"We greatly enjoyed our stay at castanheiro boutique. The staff were the best, very friendly, welcoming and helpful. This was the best welcoming of our trip from the front reception staff. We enjoyed the rooftop pool and bar. The views were amazing and staff were top notch. We also enjoyed the happy hour and had an amazing dinner in the restaurant. One of our best dinners in Madeira! We greatly enjoyed our stay the staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. We will be recommending the hotel to others and hope to come back and enjoy in the future. Thank you. Obrigato."
