Maple Cabin at Lost Trails

The Maple is an Amish-built log cabin nestled with 4 other cabins among mature woodlands. Located just steps away from tranquil ponds, this cozy one-bedroom retreat offers all the comforts of home. The cabin includes a fully equipped kitchen stocked with dishes, bakeware, utensils & includes a Keurig coffee maker, toaster and an outdoor gas grill. Located just minutes from historic downtown Madison—named the #1 Best Small Town in the Midwest by USA Today Readers’ Choice—this cabin offers the perfect setting. The Maple is an Amish-built log cabin nestled among mature woodlands filled with maple, cedar, oak, sycamore, walnut, and other native trees. Located just steps away from tranquil ponds, this cozy one-bedroom retreat offers all the comforts of home. It features a queen-size bed and a set of bunk beds, making it ideal for a couple or a young family. Spend your time snuggled up watching your favorite movie, reading a good book, cooking a delicious meal, or relaxing on the porch as deer, wild turkeys, and other friendly wildlife wander through the property. Explore nearby trails, fish in Cattail Pond, or end your day stargazing by the firepit just outside your door. Located just minutes from historic downtown Madison—named the #1 Best Small Town in the Midwest by USA Today Readers’ Choice—this cabin offers the perfect setting for an anniversary, birthday, babymoon, or peaceful getaway. Book your stay at The Maple and make memories you’ll cherish forever. Check-In Time: 4:00 PM (Eastern Time) Access to the cabin is provided by keys located in a Lock Box. An access code, directions and information specific to the cabin will be provided to Guests within 24 hours of check-in time. Check-Out Time: 11:00 AM (Eastern Time) Guests have access to the entire cabin with porch. Immediately adjacent to the cabin is a grill, fire-pit and picnic table for outdoor enjoyment. There are walking trails and ponds that can be enjoyed for a casual walk through the wooded property. Within 24 hours of check-in time Guests will be provided Host Contact Information which will include phone number for voice and text communications. The cabin includes a customized booklet containing a host of information about the property, nearby attractions and activities, selected shopping and restaurants in the vicinity as well as cabin and property rules and guidelines. Our Policies Pets: No pets allowed without a Security Deposit of $150.00: No pets are allowed without prior approval from Host and payment of a security deposit at the time of reservation. In such events, well-behaved and house-broken dogs are permitted in the cabin or lodge, provided such dog(s) are not allowed to disturb other guests and are crated inside the cabin or lodge when Guest is away. Should evidence of a pet be found without prior approval from the Host, we reserve the right to charge $300.00 for cleaning. Children: This property is suitable for children under 12 years of age; provided, however, children must be supervised in loft areas, porches, decks and other area with railing, as well as on the trails and the ponds located outdoors on the property. Safety & Emergency: Smoke alarms and fire extinguishers are located in the lodge and all cabins. Guests agree not to tamper with or disable such devices. In the event of a fire or other emergency, Guests must immediately call 911, and contact Host as soon as reasonably practicable to report the emergency. No smoking allowed: Smoking is prohibited inside the cabins and lodge. Smoking areas must be restricted to porches, decks or patio area with ashtrays provided. Smokers are only to ash and dispose of cigarettes in the ashtrays provided. No smoking is permitted in the woods or forested areas. Any evidence of smoking inside the cabin or lodge (including smell) will result in a $200 fee. Fire Prevention: Do not smoke or use candles indoors at any time. Be sure to turn off the stove and fireplaces when not in use to prevent fires. There is a fire pit outside the cabin. Any outside fire must be confined strictly to within the fire pit structure. Fires are strictly prohibited outside the fire pit to reduce risks. The cabin is located in a wooded forest and Guests are prohibited from smoking or otherwise igniting any fire on the property. No Illegal Substances or Activities are allowed on the premises. All illegal activities, not limited to the use of illegal substances, are strictly prohibited. Noise Curfew: Guests and visitors must keep noise to a minimum so as not to disturb the occupants of neighboring properties—especially during nighttime hours (e.g. 11 p.m. – 8 a.m.), and upon arrival and departure. No parties or events allowed: Parties, gatherings, and functions of any kind are strictly prohibited on the property. Visitors: No unregistered guests are allowed for overnight stay: Guests are only allowed a maximum of two visitors for the entire duration of the stay. Under no circumstances will visitors be allowed to stay the night. Damages: Guests are responsible for any damage caused to the property during their stay, including accidental damage, and will be charged for repairs or replacements if any damage occurs. Off-limit areas: Guests are prohibited from entering other cabins or buildings on the property. Under no circumstances will guests be allowed to enter these areas. Cabin Rules: The cabin will have Rules and information regarding use of the cabin and property to reflect the nature of the furnishings and layout of the rental area that supplement these Terms and Conditions. A copy of the rules will be provided upon request of the Guest prior to the reservation.

We did not stay in the Maple Cabin like we booked. We stayed in the Mulberry. The co-host contacted me and explained that there was a working crew staying in the Maple that needed to extend their stay. It was nice of the co-host to try to work something out for the crew. We agreed to stay in the Mulberry. It did not have a covered porch like the Maple but it had a better view and it felt a little more private. It was very clean and cozy. We loved our stay there and we're already talking about when we can go back. Prefect spot close to town.
