"Overall, I’d rate this hotel a solid 7 out of 10. The grounds are well maintained, and there are plenty of activities offered throughout the day, which helps keep things engaging. Pros: The rooms are spacious and clean. I stayed in the master suite and really appreciated the extra space and comfort. Great for families, wouldn’t recommend for couples. Cons: The food was the biggest letdown, averaging about a 4 out of 10. The buffet, in particular, was disappointing at a 2 out of 10. The steakhouse (Sal) was better at a 7, while both the Peruvian restaurant and the hibachi came in around a 6. Service was also on the slower side, and while the staff wasn’t rude, some employees seemed low-energy and not especially warm or attentive. Room service was a miss, in some cases they forgot to restock my towels and both phones in the room didn’t work. The AC unit too awhile to cool off the room. "

"Mi estancia en el Hotel Whala fue buena, Rosa en recepcion fue muy amable en fin todos en recepcion fueron amable y utiles. El cuarto tipo estudio es bien espacioso, el agua caliente en todo momento y el aire super frio. La comida de cena en el area de la barra no me gusto mucho. La piña colada estuvo riquisima, el desayuno en el comedor bien variado, en fin le doy un 8 de 10, pq no habia nada cerca, habia q pedir uber para todo. Les recomiendo cojan excursiones"

"This home and complex was excellent! It was exactly as advertised. The gym and pools were easily accessible. The rooms and bathrooms were well maintained and clean. The security guards were thorough and polite. I had a wonder time during this stay! "

"We were satisfied with the apartment. It has two bedrooms, each with air conditioning, and two bathrooms—having a private bathroom was a big plus. The kitchen was small but functional, and the living room was comfortable and clean. The apartment looks new, and the host was very responsive and helpful with any questions. The apartment does not have a balcony, and the shared pool is smaller and not very clean, though that’s building maintenance. We were lucky that the apartment included direct beach access and free parking, as public access is limited and often expensive ($25/day for parking or beach chairs). Driving in the Dominican Republic was stressful and aggressive, so next time we’d likely use Uber. Customer service in stores and some restaurants was poor. Overall, we truly enjoyed the apartment, host, beaches, and weather, but the country itself felt overly commercialized and difficult to navigate. We would recommend the apartment for its comfort and convenience, but not necessarily the area as a whole."

"The house was convenient located close to beautiful beaches like bibijaua, Macau, El Cortecito , grocery stores and malls and only 17 minutes from the airport .Very quiet area , owners are very nice and ready for any request we had ,The house had everything we needed , very comfortable and accessible, we felt safe .We downloaded Google Maps and it was really easy to get around by car the grocery store Sirena is by Vista Cana only 5 minutes away driving by by Estados Unidos street with no need to get on the highway ,since the traffic can be challenging in this country , specially by Jumbo or Coco Bongo , we took the bus located in Frusia to go to Santo Domingo to avoid driving there , stayed in the colonial area for 2 days it was a nice trip from our location ,we will return to this house when in the Dominican or any other properties the owner Reynaldo has in this area ."
