Great location with city views. The staff were really friendly, we were given a free room upgrade which was a nice surprise. Basic but nice breakfast, fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereals ect. We enjoyed our stay.

Great location, the hotel is within walking distance to city and MSAC. Room is clean and staffs are very nice and helpful. If you are looking to stop and rest, this hotel offers the best option you can get in south Mel. Price is very reasonable, very good dollar value.

Comfortable, friendly service, great location

I stayed here twice in two weeks, having returned due to the friendly service and great location from my first visit. Only downside was it can be a bit noisy from the street. The comfortable bed and clean facilities made up for this.

Really comfortable bed, clean property, very warm and friendly welcome. The bathroom was updated and very spacious, great shower. Just a little dark so putting on make-up or seeing details on the face was difficult - maybe they could look to improve the bathroom task-lighting when they next get around to any alterations/updates in future. Overall very positive experience. Parking was also a breeze.

Our stay was good and staff friendly and helpful ! Facilities could be updated some ! The mattress and pillows were a bit old and needed updating ! Hand soap a cheap pump pack that was basically empty ! Towel was broken! Just small things ! The shower was good and hot ! Overal slept ok ! Was still an enjoyable stay ! Reception was closed on arrival which was during the day but someone came in to help with check in. Disappointed that the booking stated breakfast was included which was one reason for choosing this hotel but was told no breakfast during the week. Room is quite small but clean. Would call it more a shared accommodation situation than hotel - did not see any staff the whole time. Noisy with doors constantly being opened and closed loudly, particularly if sleeping in a room above the exit doors. Adequate for the price and convenient location open space, lightrail, markets etc.

It was a friendly greeting from the staff member who was quite helpful. The room was adequate for our stay and the bathroom was clean and the shower was excellent. The only problem was that there was nowhere to sit apart from the bed. This made eating very hard. I know it was a small room but just having even a couple of folding chairs would have been nice so you could sit and have a nice cuppa. In all it was pretty comfortable.

We a good stay at Lily Sands. Very good location. Unfortunately, the TV did not work, the Air-conditioner made a huge noise and the shower curtain was not sufficient to keep the bathroom floor dry. It started raining during the night, which caused the tree next to the window to slam it's branches onto the walls and window f the building. Very scary noise. Did not sleep well.
