"Clean room. Quiet. Curtains very thin, sheer so room let in a lot of light. Bed good Bar service sometimes slow. No rose wine otherthan prossecco. Limited choice of lager. Food choices Limited However , does deliver on standard , location and convenience "

"I was not aware of the aIcohoI free ruIe in the property untiI I read the house ruIes after booking, which meant I couId not enjoy a gIass of wine with my food. I was aIso disappointed with no kettIe in the room, which I thought was a bare minimum for pIaces these days. The shared fridge was aIso pretty fuII and I don't enjoy having to keep the food we brought in the car....I'd have a thought a smaII fridge in each room wouIdn't have put them out too much. That apart, it is a Pieasant enough buiIding. Not vaIue for me though. I wouId use it again, but I wouId not pay anything near the asking price unIess it was upgraded with a fridge and kettIe."

"Absolutely awful, curtains hanging off nails, got moved to a deluxe room , which wasn't any better! Someone trying to get in the room through the night, kicking the door! Did not feel safe at all.Never again! A refund wouldn't go amiss."

"Dylan on reception was outstanding in his role. He welcomed us on arrival giving us all the information we needed. He kindly arranged a taxi for us later and was courteous, helpful and friendly throughout our stay. Also Peter who was cleaning the tables in the bar. A nice friendly interesting gentleman."

"On arrival staff member (or manager) appeared complacent and somewhat uninterested. Did not show us to the room, although easy to find (not accessible for anyone with a disability - two flights of stairs - not lift). Room was spacious for two. Given it was an old-ish annexe part of the main building the windows were draughty even with what seemed like outdated secondary glazing that barely closed (room 4). However, if you come by vehicle vans use the front car park opposite the pub/hotel (2 car parks available-front & rear), then this room allows you to keep a keen eye. Also a CCS & ChadEmo charger (Osprey) in car park. Back to the room and en-suite was clean but oh my days, the noise when running the sink tap (which was loose and required tightening) and flushing the toilet! It was akin to the sound of a macerated or pump. Very loud and not something you could use early morning for fear of waking other guests up (or your partner). Small built-in wardrobe enough for several hanging garments. TV and hair dryer supplied and basic tea/coffee supplies with kettle (unused). Bed appeared to be Queen size, which was surprisingly comfortable and spacious with adequate duvet cotton cover. Carpet was stained in patches but not immediately obvious so not heavily soiled, just old. Access and egress of the building was via a dedicated ‘fire escape door’ unless during opening hours and then you could do so via the main entrance."

"Everything was fine except that the property needs a little work, such as the missing bathroom shelf and door handle, Also one of the blankets on one of the beds was very stained. There were no proper working lamps in the bedrooms."
