"For a consecutive month, I booked with a Greene King Inn to include an evening meal with the breakfast. The hotel is situated in the middle of a busy high street with great parking at the rear which is easily accessible. I was warmly welcomed and directed to my room which was nice and clean. It was warm and I asked for a fan which was supplied quickly. I went for a 1 hour speed walk and came across a village called Chawton which was a lovely part of the world to walk around. "Great location, free parking and easy walk up to the small town centre and surrounding countryside. Staff were very helpful. Nice old property but a little dull sometimes and lacked character. Clean though. There were issues with water pressure, effecting showers etc. this was explained on arrival, so was not a surprise. Breakfast was unexciting and just ‘okay’ with overcooked scrambled eggs, dry bacon and a pot of beans that was more juice than beans. A comfortable stay despite the quibbles."
