The Feathers Hotel, Helmsley, North Yorkshire

"Good accommodation in the annex but be aware the stairs are steep and narrow to the upstairs rooms. There is very limited parking for 5 cars, so we had to park on the street during our 3 night stay. We ate dinner in the hotel once during our stay, which was average. We had breakfast once during our stay which was good but not outstanding. This hotel is part of a small chain, and having stayed in several of the other hotels in the chain I’d say this hotel is slightly below the quality I’ve experienced in the other properties."

"The room was very hot , there were plenty areas to sit and have a drink but nobody used facilities on an evening, we were only ones in the bar"

"Really clean and comfortable. Room nice and big. Temporary parking for a car to unload/load, main hotel and parking a short walk away (this will get easier when current building work on the street is complete). Steps into property so not ideal if mobility is a problem for you, but it's an old building). Only downside was the wifi didn't work, but there's an adequate mobile signal and we didn't come here to experience the wifi so not a problem). Would definitely use again."

"Pleased to say, after a 3.5 hour drive, we both had an excellent stay, check in was easy, staff and all the locals were friendly people. Food was excellent. Ian and Wendy were fantastic in making us feel welcome. Will certainly be staying again."

"Excellent paeking available and conveniently next door to a toby carvery. Not far from local shopping centre and park and ride. Staff were excellent. Breakfast great Definitely worth a visit"
