"The house was great! It has been updated, but there are still some great characteristics that keep this historical charm. The hosts were extremely helpful, especially when the roads were closed and we couldn’t find parking on Bastille Day. Would definitely stay there again! "
"We had a rough beginning because the instructions from the owner about how to find the property and gain admission were not very clear. We only figured it out by reading previous reviews. Once we were there, the lady who manages the property (and runs the shop below the apartment) was wonderful. She was full of local counsel, including the fact that our stay coincided with a massive regional festival. So there were parking issues to be considered. She kept us updated on a daily basis. When we arrived, the AC was not working and we were in the middle of a super heat wave, but she jumped on the problem and got it fixed within 48 hours. That made all the difference in our ability to sleep in this beautiful place. The rest of our experience was amazing. We love to shop the local produce and food markets and do our own cooking. The kitchen was fabulous! There were four days during the festival when we did not leave Sarlat, and we were never bored. There was always something going on somewhere within the old city. Much of it, we could watch from our balcony. We would definitely visit this property again."
