"The front desk staff didn't explain anything. I happened to walk by a half hour later and another guest was getting a completely different experience. The room was adequate. AC worked well. Bed was comfortable. Overpriced breakfast was the main reason for knocking off a star."

"The breakfast area was tiny, there were limited items available. No egg, no potatoes, no fruit. Muffins were not fresh. Parking was shady, as is the vicinity of the hotel. I'm glad my car didn't get broken into or marked with graffiti. There was a constant smell of marijuana and each morning I woke with a headache. Room was not very clean. Bed was good, bathroom was nice, tv had Directv. Will look elsewhere before I book there again."

"The man who checked us in, Brian, was so sweet and helpful. The room was fine and it was inexpensive but in retrospect I wish I would have stayed in a hotel a short walk to Emeryville Amtrak station because the neighborhood was intimidating. We had no problems but I wouldn’t stay there again. "
