"I stayed here as a base for a retreat so I wanted something simple but comfortable enough. This fitted the bill. Beautiful views, a perfectly good breakfast, and a chapel within the hotel (which, in Assisi, if you’re there as a pilgrim or retreatant, is a very nice unexpected addition). "Stunning, well equipped and comfortable apartment which was also sparkling clean. As well as having a lovely vaulted ceiling it has spectacular views across the hills. The private terrace is the icing on the cake! The apartment is really quiet, especially at night, although it’s just a 2 minute walk to the main square in Spello. The nearby free parking was always available.Spello is a joy with amazing art, architecture and a choice of lovely bars and restaurants. It’s also surrounded by easily reached places 30 minutes away or less, including Assisi, Spoleto and Montefalco. Roberto was a very kind and helpful host who shared wonderful local recommendations. We recommend this accommodation without reservation and look forward to returning very soon."

"The house was absolutely beautiful, and the surroundings were stunning. It suited our group perfectly. We were four families traveling together with children, and each family had its own apartment with a kitchen, bathroom, and shower. There was also a large shared kitchen where we could cook meals together, as well as a spacious and lovely outdoor dining area where we enjoyed lunches and dinners. The pool was also great.Before our arrival, the host was very responsive and always provided quick and clear answers to our questions.To summarize, the house and its surroundings were fantastic. Unfortunately, what had a negative impact on our overall stay was that the host was very controlling and frequently present at the property, often several times a day. We had no issue with the gardeners being there (they were very friendly) or with someone coming to maintain the pool. However, the host would come by repeatedly and sometimes spoke to us in a rather harsh tone, almost as if we were children. For example, one evening we had moved some of the outdoor furniture a short distance from one part of the gravel area to another, fully intending to put it back afterward, but we were scolded for it.As a result, we never felt completely comfortable during our stay, despite how wonderful the house itself was."

"It was a lovely stay with beautiful views. Manuela was very helpful and easy to communicate with. She had a lot of helpful hints in the apartment, both about the place and things to do in town. As has been mentioned, this is an old hilly town with cobblestone streets so be prepared to walk uphill and plan for sturdy shoes. The shower is one of those that is literally in the bathroom, but it was well-designed and easy to negotiate if you read her instructions."
