"I liked the setting of the room with a door between the bedroom and the living room. I also liked the two closets but I was not happy about not having a microwave in the room. It would have cost me $25 a day for the microwave. Also the pool was full of children and the hot tub occupied by their parents all the time with no room for me to enjoy the beautiful facilities."

"I didnt like the smell entering into the guesthouse. The shared washrooms were always clean. I stayed in 2nd floor. Need to carry your laguages up by staircases."

"First class hotel with outstanding views. Service and staff excellent. Highly recommended."

"Rooms were very clean and staff were very welcoming and helpful."

"Great hostel. There are a lot of homeless in the area, but they didn’t seem dangerous."

"The staff provides very good service. The rooms are clean, bed and pillows are very comfortable, we always get a very nice sleep. Our stay comes with hot breakfast which has always been a deal maker for us. And the location is very good, restaurants are just in front of the hotel so no need to worry about lunch or dinner. We will definitely come back when we visit Vancouver again."

"Clean room."

"I liked the spacious suites."

"Booked a wedding anniversary trip and had a great time. Staff were thorough and quick to help solve questions. My wife and I enjoyed the room as it was comfortable and had a cozy fireplace that was perfect during the colder weather. Definitely recommend!"

"Great experience. Clean, comfortable hotel located downtown very near to cafes, restaurants and a very nice mall. Staff are welcoming and very helpful. Flexible checkout upon request. Excellent overall"

"We always look forward to our stays at the Empress and the staff go out of their way to make every guest feel so cared for. One highlight this year was breakfast at The Bengal. This beautiful, historic space has a special place in our hearts. Wonderful location, amenities, staff & service; it's one of a kind."
