"I had rented a queen size bed when i went to the room it had a double bed. when i was looking for a motel to stay at i wanted one with a continental breakfast, no breakfast just coffee."

"It's a very comfortable place to stay, with very straightforward access on/off I-294 and not that far from I-94 to make it "out of the way" for folks passing through via that highway. For someone looking for a quick overnight or an inexpensive stay for a trip to Chicago, this would be a good pick. The area is safe; the property is clean and quiet. If you're visiting Chicago, it's an easy drive into the city from either highway, or only like a 15-minute drive to the Glenview Metra station or Skokie Swift or Linden el stations (to leave the car and take the train). For food, good restaurants are literally steps away. The property shares its parking lot with a number of Asian restaurants, and a number more restaurants are just a block or two walk away."

"Having reserved a "suite", I had no idea of the actual size until I got there. Much roomier than other "suites" I had stayed in. It was quite clean and comfortable. Very thankful they had their own secure parking garage, too. The staff attended to our every need promptly. The complimentary breakfast offered most all the same stuff others do, however, this one was better cooked and tastier than the others. Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again."

"Our first impression was when we got out the car there was a strong marijuana smell, but at least it was in the parking lot. I entered the building and there was no one behind the desk. I stood there for 10 minutes and after loudly saying "is there anyone here?" a guest walked by and picked up a white telephone and told someone that I was there to check in. After finally checking we were walking toward our room we noticed the strong marijuana smell again. This is an extended stay hotel, and we noticed that in the room there was no coffeemaker and there were no chairs. If you're going to be there for an extended period, you'll be sitting on your bed. I told the young lady behind the desk that there wasn't a coffeemaker, and she said that they have coffee in the morning in the lobby. There were plenty of coffee pads but no maker. Also, there was a desk to work at, in the room, but no office chair. The next morning, we were hit with another blast of marijuana smell while in our room. Obviously, people staying there are smoking pot in the hotel. Also, the hallway walls looked dirty and the carpet needed vacuuming. The plusses were that the bathroom was very nice and clean and the price was right. We were there for two nights."

"We love this hotel and visit it as much as we can. When we go during the week we find it very quiet which is one the reasons we go. The room is always perfect and comfortable. The housekeepers will always accommodate you if you need something extra. We love the staff and since we go there so often they have become “friends”. It’s amazing that Abraham in the restaurant/bar always brings us our beverages from memory even after not seeing him for months. Then there is Hugo and Will that make eating there a great experience. The front desk girls are kind and have a friendly greeting for you when you arrive. We just met Toni and Cora this trip. If you want to know something interesting about the original hotel that was on the property look up Villa Venice and see an interesting story about the 20’s. Geoffrey Baer is also a source about Villa Venice. In the bar there is a picture of the Rat Pack who performed there then. First check out the story and when you stay there go on the walking path around the hotel that is next to the Des Plaines river and look for a gray plaque in the ground. I think you will be surprised."
