Most of the staff was friendly and the food was pretty good. While the property is a bit dated, it wasn’t terrible overall. However, we had two major issues during our stay:
1. One of the main reasons we chose this resort was for the kids’ water park. Unfortunately, we were surprised to find it closed for renovations when we arrived. There was no prior notice, which was very disappointing — had we known, we would’ve booked elsewhere. To make matters worse, they were spray painting the park during the day, forcing guests to deal with toxic fumes. No effort was made to compensate or even apologize for the inconvenience.
2. Apparently, the resort offers a weekend special for local residents. While Thursday was quiet and enjoyable, Friday became noticeably busier, and by Saturday and Sunday, the pool area was completely overcrowded. Even some of the staff mentioned how chaotic it gets when the locals come in.
With so many resort options available, I would recommend looking elsewhere.
