"Wonderful getaway! Definitely would stay again. Coming from Texas heat was admittedly nervous about no A/C, but the overnight temp and ceiling fan made it pleasant. We stayed 4 different places on this trip to Maui and Big Island and this was our favorite place. They have everything you need."

"Lava Rock Retreat is a very cool property, modern & stylish with a touch of tech. The grounds are simply amazing with all sorts of plants and flowers, hot tub, outdoor showers and lighting. The house was clean and had everything you need for cooking and great coffee making. I would highly recommend this spot for your stay in Hilo."
