"A True Enchanting Paradise in Hilo!Our first visit to the Big Island was made even more memorable by our stay at Hale Kawehi. Nestled in a local neighborhood, this guesthouse gave us the authentic Hawaiian experience we were hoping for. The home was spotless, beautifully maintained, and stocked with thoughtful touches—including snacks, food, and a fresh, sliced papaya waiting for us upon arrival.The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the natural cross-breeze from the large screen doors made the space feel airy and peaceful, especially in areas without AC. The garden was lush and vibrant, and we were surrounded by the soothing sounds of birds and nature throughout our stay.Communication with the host was seamless—she was warm, responsive, and truly welcoming. We couldn’t have asked for a better home base in Hilo. We’re already looking forward to staying here again on our next trip!"
