Peace & Simplicity in a Little Red Cabin on the Farm

"Our family loved our weekend stay at the little red cabin. We can’t recommend this place enough. Communication was great, cabin was sparkling clean, super cozy, and the property was very beautiful. We can’t wait to come back and enjoy making more s’mores by the campfire. Getting to take home fresh eggs was a great ending to a fun weekend."

"House was very clean upon arrival. Very responsive host! We found that the pool cues had no tips, no pool chalk and a missing dart. We had everything replaced the next day.The house is very quaint. It’s been updated and everything is nice. The upstairs has 2 bedrooms but no doors so it’s better for a family or people that like each other! There is a nice bathroom upstairs. Downstairs bedroom and bath are very nice. We really enjoyed the backyard. My one hope is that it’s next on the list to update. Just needs landscaping and a nicer fence by the river. There’s a fire pit and picnic table and nice deck furniture. I let the host know of some maintenance issues and he was very appreciative. This was a great place to spend time with family for a long weekend! Added bonus: we brought the dogs!"

"This is an amazing house. I came here with my husband and two boys (4 and 1), my brother and his kids (5, 7), and all of the grandparents to celebrate my son's 4th birthday. The house is very comfortable for hosting a large family, with soft beds and linens, ample bathrooms and so much for the kids to do! From swimming every day in the pool to playing in the game room or just running around the large backyard, the kids had a blast!Location was also great for the family with a lot of great things to do from the children's museum to an amazing pumpkin patch!Couple of things I would have wanted to be aware of especially with a 1 year old and elderly guests:- There are a a number of steps coming into the house. There is a bedroom on the ground level but it doesn't have a door and is not really the most ideal. The next bedroom on the main floor only has a half bathroom. - There are leveling steps to the kitchen and down to the living room. Easy to trip on for both old and little legs- There are TVs everywhere - this is a great thing on one hand but on the other, it created lots of issues. Remotes were all missing, hdmi cables didn't work etc. - Kitchen lacked a lot of basic things for feeding a large family (serving bowls, cutting boards, etc)- Kids/baby supplies were light. Lastly, the management company was pretty good to work with once we were in the house but prior to checking in, it was a bit of a high-friction experience."
