Nicer than the pictures

Great location. Nice outside area with plenty of space to hang out. Located far enough away from busy sedona to be peaceful but close enough to be convenient. We'll be staying again.

Fantastic stay

This house was perfect! So clean, comfortable, and had anything you need! The bonfire out on the patio was great! Very much accessible to all the big spots to see! Was exactly how it is pictured! Host are great at communicating and being available!! Can’t wait to stay again!

Wonderful Property-Amazing Owner

We had a wonderful stay at this property and an added bonus of working one on one, with the owner, Bonnie. She not only worked with us but gave us some extra service of visiting with our dogs and giving them a "potty break" while we were touring the beautiful area of Sedona. Thanks Bonnie for adding to our lifetime story of memorable moments!!

A wonderful getaway!!

The home is in a community area. Every morning we sat out and drank coffee and waved good morning to all the walkers. The kitchen had everything needed to cook our Cajun dishes for our Arizona family to enjoy. Plenty enough room for all and lots of room for the little ones to play outside for hours. Throughly enjoyed!! Dawn and Joe

Perfect location for us

This house is in a perfect location for us. We were only about 5 minutes from our family. The house has a few steps so be aware of that. Also, if you want to stay in the room with the king bed, we couldn't get the barn-style door to close or at least we didn't want to pull too hard on it. Also there is no adjoining bathroom to that king room so in the middle of the night, you have to go up those few steps (after remembering they are there). We loved the outside and sat out there a few times. A bird made a nest and laid some eggs so we saw some baby birds hatch. Great to have a washer/dryer so we could pack less. Did encounter a rather large spider in our room on the last night. As I am phobic and he wasn't paying to share the house, I wasn't happy to find him!

Loved my stay

I loved my stay at this house. The house was super clean and comfortable with all the comforts of home. The location was great. It was near an open space where I saw deer and the habitat at the house attracted great birds as well. It was centrally located with some of the popular areas like Sedona and Flagstaff within an hour drive. The owners are wonderful. They were very generous with making my stay special as well as with their time in answering all my questions and they always responded quickly. I highly recommend this house and I will definitely stay here again should I return to the area.

We loved the property and had a pleasant stay. Only thing the travelers have to keep in mind is that area has very weak signal in mobile service. So don’t rely on your phone alone to get in to the home .Have a note of the Door code and details .

A Home for the Holidays

Upon arrival, we were greeted with the house draped in lights. It was to be our home away for 8 nights to celebrate Christmas with our Airman son. So pleased to find the house decorated which set the stage for a family getaway. So enjoyed the windows that welcomed the Arizona sunshine and allowed us to see the coyote that loped through the yard. We saw javelina and savored the sunset loop hike just miles from the house. The house itself was very comfortable, and Bill and Bonnie friendly and responsive. Smiling as I type this...it was a tender Christmas away.

A hidden gem

What a gem this place is! We've never been to Lake Montezuma but wanted a central location to visit surrounding areas (Cornville and Sedona) for hiking and birding. We're so glad we booked this place. We even visited Montezuma Well for the first time, which was a cool place to see. The house is so tidy and clean and beautifully decorated. It's a very cool floorplan with tons of light. Having a TV with all the streaming options is also wonderful. We loved the outdoor space!! We had breakfast every morning on the patio, listening to the birds sing. In the evenings enjoyed cocktails by the cozy firepit and listened to all manner of wildlife either settle in or wake up for the evening. It was just wonderful! The kitchen is well-equipped and very clean. We didn't use the coffee maker or the air fryer, but having those appliances available is a great option. Additionally, having an extra bedroom is important if you have a spouse who snores like mine, so this property is great for a couple or a family. The beds are comfortable, and the rooms are plenty spacious. Luggage racks would be a welcome addition. Bill and Bonnie are very kind and easy to communicate with and you can tell the property is well cared for and loved. If you're looking for peace and quiet in a cozy setting close to nature, book this place. We loved it and will not hesitate to return.

Javelina Haven House, Lake Montezuma, AZ

Dear Bonnie and Bill, thank you again for blessing us with us. Stay at your totally delightful VRBO perfect in so many ways we especially enjoyed the gorgeous patio covered area and the rock pebble areas. The flexibility outside area provided wonderful sunshine shade protection from one and delightful evening fires enjoying amazing stars there even views of the mountains off near Jerome Arizona. The VRBO is so cute, warm, inviting space and well appointed everything worked flawlessly. We enjoyed both the furnace on cool mornings and cooling on warm afternoons. The beds were good to gr great the king bed what's our favorite. Drives to outstanding hikes were no problem or big deal 20 minutes to 45. The nearby Peach tree restaurant in Lake Montezuma was our favorite in all of the Sedona area. We did the following hikes on our 3 Big Loop soldiers pass teacup and Sugarloaf. Boynton Canyon devils bridge go past the bridges and up the to, right past the bridge about 10 amazing views that no one goes to Chapel Loop my Favorite Baldwin Loop, Moscow Mountain Loop red rock State Park. We took in the national parks and monuments near VRBO and Montezuma castle petroglyphs at VB Ranch. The brewpub Sedona beer Company camp downtown Sedona great food. We also enjoyed the DA Ranch Vineyard, but it was so nice to come back to the comfortable and safe VRBO on the patio have a cocktail or look at the stars, we will be back. We enjoyed it so much thank you again!

Very quiet neighborhood. Friendly neighbors. Nice patio and bbq. Great jumping off point to Sedona, Cottonwood, Jerome and others. We’re going back next year.

Lake Montezuma stay

Wonderful Vacation

This was one of the best vacations we’ve had and so much of it was due to our stay at Javelina Guest House. We felt right at home and the neighborhood was quiet and friendly. Will be booking our next stay soon. Can’t wait to come back. It’s our new home away from home!
