"First: no elevator to the 1st landing. Difficult with major luggage. I specifically stayed here because it advertised as “self parking” and then I had to pay. Simon, the front desk receptionist was most helpful and kind. The restaurant was good and convenient and the wait staff was fabulous."
"We could not have asked for a more fantastic place to stay. From arrival and check in, support from staff whilst we were there, location, quirky cabin... Proximity to the hills/ station/ pubs/ canal... Absolutely beautiful. The children loved the waterfall and the cabin itself... A log burner and a sofa to sleep on was a great asset for them. Waking up amongst the trees and being able to feed the ducks 10 meters away. We ate in the village and also had a takeaway... Great choice and fabulous...

"Food was excellent, breakfast plentiful and tasty, evening meals were very good.
Bathroom we were in was a little cramped and the floor tiles were cracked and broken.
Overall the whole stay was very pleasant , the staff were very friendly without being overly so.

"A good alternative to staying in Halifax for us while visiting family. Clean and comfy room with a modern feel and easy contact-free checkin/out. Has parking, but we were car free so used local taxis for the most part to/from Sowerby Bridge centre (£10 each way) and also walked a few times (be aware, quite a steep but enjoyable climb, takes around 25 mins). Nice quiet surroundings and good views over the Calderdale valley.

"Accomodation was perfect for us as we were travelling with our small dog. Excellent selection of coffee and teas in the room.
Staff were all really helpful and friendly. We had our evening meal in the hotel, whih was excellent, as was our breakfast the following morning.
Lovely town to stay in with plenty of pubs restaurants and bars.
We will definitely stay again when in the area. "
"We both really loved this property despite having no lift1 The owner is a lovely man and brought a boottle opener from home to lend us. The breakfast was exceptional. I had OD'd on full English breakfasts for this year so the wonderful cut fresh fruit, yogurt with compote and crumpets were a great change. I really looked forward to breakfast each day! We were allowed to put our bottle of white wine and soda water in the fridge which really improved my stay. The ladies who served breakfast were...

The bed was huge and very comfortable. We had a disabled access which was great.
Only negative. No air conditioning, but we asked for a fan and we were given a large fan on a stand, which was sufficient.
