I cannot recommend this location enough. I would most definitely consider making another trip to Tuscany just to stay there. The facilities and the staff are wonderful!!! Well worth going to :)

This property is without a doubt among your top listings. The location is delightful and 15 mins. away from Lucca city center. Excellent breakfast and very nice country style Tuscany hotel. Friendly staff. All excellent for quality / price ratio. Nice garden and quality restaurant on site. The only thing I have to underline is the gym, was on the web advertised, but was not open.

The La Monastica resort was a wonderful place with a staff who were exceptionally welcoming, pleasant and helpful. The room was nice and the bed was very comfortable. The location and grounds were beautiful with some modern influences in decor but really maintaining the overall old world charm and aesthetic of the monastery. We really enjoyed time in the bar playing cards and drinking some great cocktails.

Wonderful stay at the doorstep of Tower of Pisa!

We booked this by chance on the last day of the season and it did not disappoint. The level of warmth and responsiveness made our stay very enjoyable. From recommending and booking our restaurant reservations, to a wonderful breakfast and spa experience, this turned out to be a stay we wouldn’t forget.

Short walk to walled city, safe neighborhood but most of all fantastic staff. I have never seen a group of people that are so kind, helpful and willing to do anything for their customers. We had an incident that required an ambulance in the very early hours of the morning. The night desk shift manager took such good care of us, calling ambulance, explaining to us in English what was going to happen. Just had 24 hours to spend in Lucca. It was a great stay, the staff was very helpful from the moment we arrived. Franco, who took us to our room doubles as the hotel bartender at night. The hotel is outside the city center in a mixed residential-commercial neighborhood. It seems to be pitched to commercial travelers rather than tourists and for that reason emphasizes functionality over quaint charm but sometimes a tourist needs functionality.
