"We really enjoyed staying at forest lodge. We were made to feel very welcome and relaxed in the bar area. Staff were welcoming and kind and friendly. A lady gave us a free bottle of Prosecco to help us celebrate our anniversary. Sitting in the bar having a meal and a drink was one of my highlights on our break. Some of the hotels main procedures cause them a bit of difficulty. For instance asking everyone for photo ID at check in- if this needs to be done it could be done at booking. Also...

"There was some confusion regarding the “breakfasts included” part of my booking on arrival. Reception paperwork indicated “room only”. I was asked to provide evidence and it was only due to me forwarding a screenshot to my partner showing bed & breakfast included, that fortunately I was believed. "All the staff were friendly and professional. The room was a refurbished one and it was lovely and clean. The pool was fabulous and warm, also there was a nice scent to it. I had a refreshing facial with Amanda, who was excellent and gave me some much-needed advice. The hotel is in need of some renovation, however it looks like that's already in progress.
