"This was one of the best hotels we’ve stayed at in quite awhile. First, I always seek out rooms with kitchenettes which these rooms have. The garden setting is so serene and close walk to Moonlight Beach and downtown Encinitas is ideal. This hotel goes above and beyond with so many little touches from afternoon and evening to, welcoming you to your room with candles, treats, and tea. Then herbal bath and spa robes and the most amazing breakfast delivered to your door in a cute picnic basket. They also have fun activities for the kids like rock painting, art night, and garden harvesting. Truly a special place! "

"Newly renovated rooms, very clean. Good location about 15 minutes walk to the beach. Affordable. There is a freeway next to it so expect some traffic noise in your room. That may be a problem for light sleepers. Only oatmeal, apples, snack bars, orange juice, coffee, tea for breakfast "
