"This hotel is outside the city of Lucerne but only 20 minutes away. It is nice and peaceful, which was our preference. The Mt. Pilatus train station in Alpnachstadt is just a few minutes away. We got to enjoy both sunset and sunrise from our balcony.
The staff were friendly and professional and the room was clean and uniquely charming but with modern conveniences. The restaurant served excellent local favorite dishes.
We look forward to another stay in the coming years.

Despite being near a main road it was quiet, although deliveries to a nearby business was quite loud on a couple of mornings. The single room I had was a good size but the bathroom was tiny. "5 star Hotel. Spectacular views everywhere. 5 star dining. Was there 32 years ago, and they have made substantial upgrades. Will definitely return to do some more serious day hikes. Bring your walking poles and hiking footwear, and enjoy a beer on the terrace afterwards with the best views in the world"
"Family owned hotel and restaurant was a nice touch. Located just outside of Luzern downtown and reachable by train which is a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Note the train only comes once an hour so plan accordingly.
Several walkable restaurants nearby. Staff was very accommodating and helpful and provided travel adapters for free.
Breakfast was a nice spread including eggs, cheese, meats and other items. Hotel was very quiet and well kept.

"Absolutely stunning views from room and restaurant. I stayed in the Naturhus, and my room was a little dated, but I was there for the lovely balcony overlooking the lake. If you want a more updated room, choose one in the main building. "
