We had a wonderful stay at The Maltese Sun. The rooms were well kept and the staff were very friendly. Breakfast was great and will be back if in Malta again.
I spent 14 nights with my partner in Room 8, and I was very happy with our stay. The room was larger than I expected, which was a lovely surprise. It was cleaned every day, the air conditioning worked perfectly, and the staff were always very helpful and friendly.
Breakfast was served as a buffet, with a good selection of food. The ladies serving breakfast were especially lovely — always kind, welcoming, and smiling.
The accommodation is in a very good location, close to the beaches as well as plenty of restaurants, cafés, and other places to eat.
We really enjoyed our stay and I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to spend some wonderful and relaxing moments in Malta. We would be very happy to come back!
This was a very unique looking property. It looked like something you'd see in the movie Cassablanca. The property was clean and conveniently located to transportation, shops and restaurants. The young man who managed the property was very helpful and a wonderful person. Breakfast was passable, but there are many good options within walking distance. I would recommend this hotel.
Close to the Main Street of Sliema, this hotel is walking distance to many restaurants and attractions. Located uphill and in a residential neighborhood, it’s quiet at night. There is a locals’ bar near the hotel where I got most of my food recommendations from. The bar is cash only. Check in, go to the bar, and listen to the locals. They’ll tell you a secret spot or two about Malta. None of this would be possible without this hotel.

Liked: Cleanliness
Lovely roof-top room with terrace. Lots of variety for breakfast.
This is charming old guest-house - bird-song and church-bell sounds in the little courtyard. The breakfast was yummy, served in a lovely setting on the roof, and the man at reception was very helpful. The location is very convenient for the beach area of Sliema.

Really friendly staff, spotlessly clean and well equipped room, good location all at a fantastic price
Excellent location. Steps from the ocean. 15 mins walk to Silema ferry. Tons of restaurants around and about 20 mins walk to St Julian the main entertainment area. The room was well decorated and maintained. The house is old and has tons of characters

Looks like the photos, the breakfast is excellent.
We really enjoyed our stay at this characterful property. The staff, location, breakfast are amazing. The building is old so some limitations (e.g. poor ventilation) are understandable. The staff were wonderful and helpful. The room (19) was spacious, beautiful and had everything we needed. The daily breakfast on the sunny rooftop was amazing. Thoroughly recommend this guest house.
A beautiful little hotel, very comfortable. A little unsettling that if you don’t arrive in the middle of the day, there is no one there to greet you and everything is done technologically. They give you a combination to open the door, another to get your key from a little box. Efficient but impersonal and a little scary when you arrive late at night. You don’t see anyone until the following morning.
Decent breakfast.
Good location. Good value for money.
I would stay there again.
Breakfast was fantastic and the staff were attentive, helpful and polite. Same on reception. Lovely omelettes made to order in a morning and a good variety of food and drink Great location just minutes from the water and good transport links. Property exactly what we expected minus 1 shower door.
The Maltese Sun is a fabulous B&B in the heart of Sliema. Within easy reach of some excellent restaurants and close to public transport. The B&B is spotlessly clean throughout. The buffet breakfast is fabulous. Jessica, in reception, and the rest of the team are amazing. Thank you.
