"Overall a nice property that was presented as clean and welcoming with a nice touch of coffee pods and a bottle of wine on arrival. Although the bedding was unlike that we have used previously we did get a good nights sleep for the 9 days stay that we booked. "Pros: We really enjoyed the beautiful views in three different directions from all windows, the very nice owners and the home made jam. It's not very clear from the webpage but it's possible to order bread in the morning which is very convenient, especially on the very first date. Top Stein Hotel Reviews

Hotel Schweizerhof Basel

10/10 Excellent

"Excellent location near public transportation, spacious and comfortable rooms. Friendly and helpful staff. And even though it’s in a busy area it was quiet at night - we for a great night’s sleep."

Central City Hotel Rochat

10/10 Excellent

"A member of my party was under the weather by the time we reached Basel. I had contacted them asking to see if we could have an earlier check-in to rest. The staff on duty got us in earlier than scheduled and was utterly sweet. Hats off to you and your team of understanding polyglots. We had booked an upstairs/downstairs room. The novelty wore out quickly, because there was only one sink/bathroom upstairs. Not their fault. We learn. We were also fortunate that when we got in, there was a huge fair running outside the hotel. We had food and fun times without going too far!"

GAIA Hotel Basel - the sustainable hotel

10/10 Excellent

"It’s one of the best 4-star options. Amazing breakfast and super friendly staff (Dhoka) and front desk! They allowed me to keep my room when I travelled for 1 day. Sauna/Spa is cozy and just perfect. Rooms are clean and well organized. Close to train station and 10 minutes walk (5 min train ride) to the old center."

Pullman Basel Europe

10/10 Excellent

"Stayed here many time and it’s a very good quality stay that the Pullman in Basel offers. Try and get a room away from the Main Street as it does get noisy with the trams. Breakfast is a bit on the expensive side but it’s Switzerland so expected. Avoid the salmon at breakfast. Everywhere is clean and the staff have Swiss efficiency."
