"It was fine for one night, small room with small bathroom. Breakfast was very good and dinner in restaurant was nice enough."

"A tastefully developed pub with ample rooms, stylish appearance and appealing atmosphere. Dinner was a little disappointing (had the buttermilk chicken burger) which felt as if it had been pre-prepared/defrosted and reheated. May have just been an unlucky experience as generally the food reviews are very good and the breakfast was truly excellent and very fresh. Husband's burger was good. Staff very pleasant. We had a waterside suite which looked over the cricket pitch at the back so was quiet. Used it as a base to start the Thames Path walk at its source near Kemble."

"Great Location. Nice facilities and gardens. There was a function room with an event happening and there was no noise in my room. However, the auto closers on the fire doors and the room doors meant there was a lot of slammed doors that were very loud."

"Breakfast was a bit hit and miss, being shown to a table which wasn’t ready or cleared on both mornings. The first morning, no one actually came and cleared the table so we had to find one ourselves!"
Victoria House Stow

"We booked Room 7 which is very small and at the top of two flights of winding stairs. This created serious problems because one of us has mobility issues and uses a rolling walker. The staff offered to switch us to another, larger, lower down room. The courtesy was appreciated. The location of Victoria House is a short walk to the grocery store, restaurants, and the bus station which made it ideal for someone with mobility issues."

"We stayed in room 9 and it was quaint and delightful. The room was perfect. The whole hotel is just beautifully put together. We had dinner and breakfast and the food was great! The staff were super friendly and helpful. All around it was an excellent experience. 100% recommend!"
