"Not the biggest room, but bright, fresh & clean. I was in the converted roof area with velux windows. Nice shower (no bath option), lovely warm towel rail at all times, and L’Occitane products. Room has a smart tv with Netflix, a safe, ironing board & iron, good hairdryer, still & sparkling water & tea & coffee making facilities. There is a temp control with fan. Nice quiet room with a very comfortable bed & pillows. There are electric blackout blinds at the windows, but a light that comes on under the sink in the bathroom illuminated the room too much at nighttime for me. I covered it the best I could but the bathroom door is glass (not see through!), so it still leaked out. Lovely approach to the hotel via a long drive with a horse riding school etc. Plenty of on-site parking. Friendly staff & a nice brassiere for dinner/breakfast. "

"We had 2 good nights sleep! For the price we paid it was fine- the bed was comfortable, the shower was hot, the room was clean and plenty of tea/coffee provided. The room could have done with a little updating, for example the cover of the headboard had been stapled on, and something had come off of the wall, leaving ripped wallpaper and a hole behind. I’m also not sure I agree with having to pay for parking (this charge is mentioned up front so it wasn’t a surprise) - they offer free parking if you book with them directly but then the room cost is significantly higher. We ate at the bar one evening- the restaurant does fill up so definitely worth booking in advance if you don’t want to sit in the bar area (especially worth noting on Saturday which is karaoke night, very loud!). Food was nice and good portion size. Overall we had a pleasant stay. "

"Chose this hotel as it was in range on the NEC whilst we stayed overnight for Crufts and was very reasonably priced. Room size was decent, beds were very uncomfortable - could feel every spring and hardly got any sleep. I would have changed rooms but I had seen there were similar reviews about this. Rooms could be updated as the wallpaper was coming away, there were holes in the carpet, sink taps were a struggle to turn on/off and the lock on the inside seemed a bit worn. The walls were thin and could hear music playing until late (think it turned off around 10pm but couldn't tell as we had the TV playing). Can't fault free parking and free breakfast. I only grabbed a couple bits as needed to leave early, but the spread looked decent. The staff were really lovely and accommodating and I liked that it was a 24/7 manned reception as you never know when you'd need something. Simple amenities such as a water fountain in reception would be a good addition. Don't think there was a phone in the room to contact reception, unless it was hidden away somewhere. Overall, basic but very decent for price paid and proximity to major events. Amazing staff but hotel rooms need a revamp. Perhaps bring a thick blanket so you can use the duvet as a mattress topper."

"Absolutely lovely guest house! Spotlessly clean, felt like a home from home. We only stayed one night as was attending crufts...wish we booked 2 to vome back and relax there. Owner was lovely and so welcoming. Breakfast was yummy and was offered anything we wanted. Would definitely stay again"

"Good location, check in ok, no information given regs facilities, breakfast etc. room good size, clean, a little tired in terms of decor but comfortable. Saturday night is disco night so expect music until 12 midnight. Breakfast a bit chaotic, guests meandering about in the hall to be served, with the manager serving out food on a rationed basis. Good quality food though. For the money it was good and despite the above I would stay again. "

"Room had an ensuite which did not have a door and was open to the bedroom, therefore the shower was at the head of the bed and worse still the toilet was just in one corner of the room. Went to reception and was told that was what I had booked and therefore there was nothing that they would do about it as I booked via Expedia and not directly with themselves. I won't be using Hilton again!!"
