"I've stayed at the Hotel Ruby Marie before, and I came back. I even passed their card along to friends. The furnishings are antique, like the building. The amenities are great; a ticket for free beer at happy hour at the bar on the lower level; when I also wanted dinner, I was encouraged to carry the beer outside to the bar/restaurant next door for dinner. The weekday breakfast buffet is abundant, including a delicious dessert, and set in an antique cafe surrounded by retired kitchen equipment and even a library. And quiet, as it's only for hotel guests. The location is across the street from the walking/biking trail beside Lake Monona. One heads-up: there are railroad tracks right out front, and they are used! One night 4 trains passed through, the next night none. I understood why they provide earplugs along with the mints on the beside table."

"had a wonderful stay in the one-bedroom lake-view suite at The Saddlery. The suite was beautiful, spotless, and very well appointed. The kitchen had everything I needed for my stay, and the lake views (especially from the rooftop) were absolutely stunning. The communication from the team was excellent. When I needed to extend my stay by an extra night, they made the process seamless by combining my reservations so I didn't have to check out and move rooms. The check-in instructions and directions for accessing the building and amenities were clear and easy to follow. A couple of minor things to note: the high ceilings add a lot of character to the space, but they don't do much to dampen sound from neighboring units. I could hear heavy footsteps from the guests upstairs and ended up using earplugs at night. Also, the shower didn't get quite as hot as I prefer. Overall, these were small issues compared to the many positives. The location, views, cleanliness, amenities, and outstanding customer service made for a great stay, and I would happily stay here again."

"Excellent communication from the moment I booked. Onsite parking garage was a nice bonus as on street parking can be limited in this area. Entry code worked perfectly for the garage, front door and room door. I booked to attend a concert at Breeze Stevens Field and this hotel is just a few blocks away so tt was an easy walk. The hotel is clean and modern. We would definitely stay here again. "

"We arrived early and they did their best to give us a room earlier than the check in time. The room had a great size and loved not having a carpet floor. It feels cleaner. We brought our bikes and they were very kind storing them overnight. The service from the front desk people was great. Very kind and helping you feel welcome and they try to your meet your specific needs. Great location for biking as it has easy access to bikes trails than can easily take you downtown or around Lake Monona. We will definitely come back!"
