"We really enjoyed our stay at the Old Vine. The staff went out of their way to accommodate us as we came in quite late. They helped us with parking and we found our room well stocked with everything you could possibly need on vacation! They even brought our breakfast at our room so we could, continue on our travels quickly. Our room was quite large and very comfortable! "

I’d fallen and cracked my ribs and they immediately brought an ice pack and changed my room so I wouldn’t have as many stairs and did everything possible to help me. The location is perfect - very central but on a quiet street. The best feature of the hotel is the garden seating. Eating outside there is very special indeed.
My only complaint is the charge of 15 pound for parking! I've never stayed at a hotel before and been charged for parking. And when I was shocked at the cost the receptionist rolled her eyes at me, as though I was the one being...

"I’m so disappointed with this arrived and it was not even close to what I was expecting from the booking. Not to mention that I had to wait outside for nearly an hour and a half as someone else had taken my room and I had not been given any information on how to enter the property keys, et cetera. "Booked overnight stay as sailing from Southampton the next day. Lovely place, well equipped, clean and great situation. We got the train to Romsey and walked from the station, a nice flat walk, took about 20 minutes with our luggage. Breakfast was delicious, a great start to the day.
