Parking was easy (which counts for lot when travelling for work), hotel was architecturally interesting and full of history, and the rooms were quaint and clean. Above all the staff were brilliant. Will definitely stay again when passing through. "

"First off: STAFF IS GREAT and very accommodating! Negatives: As beautiful as it is, our room was on 2 levels. This is challenging because the bedroom upstairs with 1/2 bath was UPSTAIRS and the full bathroom and shower were downstairs. The stairs are STEEP, narrow and winding. Not for older travelers with a recent knee replacement with luggage. See photos. Perhaps this layout would not deter younger or more fitful travelers but for us, it wasn’t a good fit. PLUSES: Centrally located clean and quiet. Lovely appointed and beautifully decorated. Excellent helpful staff. "
