Everything! Love all of the fantastic staff….the service….the building…location….home from home….cant wait to return!

Very nice hotel. Onsite parking, but because of hotel events, parking can be tricky at weekends.

The Arms is a beautiful hotel, well maintained, in great shape, lovely staff and food and a nice room. The ONLY thing I would point out is that the tv channel options were limited and as my wife and I were fresh to the timezone it would have been nice to have some more channel choices when we couldn’t sleep.

If your needing a good quiet restful break, this is it. So quiet, clean, and comfortable.Thorton Abbey is very close and each of the villages all have their own pub. We enjoyed it a lot. Breakfast was scrumptious.

My wife tends towards OCD and even she found this property spotless. I’m an architect and built my own home and I found the workmanship in the home excellent. The couple who hosted us were delightful and the service and breakfast were great. We only had a short walk to a delightful pub to make our stay first rate.

Wonderful avocado toast for breakfast! Yogurts and cereal were tasty too.

The Old Gray Mare was a charming hotel/bar combo. Staff were friendly, food was affordable and good. Though I would love to see more of an effort to reduce waste/recycle/etc. such as recycling bins in rooms and energy efficient appliances and fixtures. In addition, there were minor maintenance needs that seem to be neglected (burned out bulbs, broken soap dispenser, loose toilet tissue dispenser). Great location- walkable from train station- charming building/rooms. Comfy bed. Lovely bathroom. Also good foods and services

We loved everything here.

Sweet small hotel. Typical Brit pub on the main floor. Owner operated, wonderful people. I’d stay there again anytime!
