"This hotel was centrally located and within walking distance of everything we wanted to see/do. We felt safe in the neighborhood. There is a cable car right outside the hotel which we did use once to get to the distillery district. There is also a Shoppers Drug Mart down the block. We got a room with an amazing view of the CN tower. Such a beautiful sight at night. Our room (two beds) was spacious. Lots of storage space for two adults and a child. The beds were comfortable. I liked that the shower was a separate room from the restroom. We didn’t interact too much with staff. However, the cleaning staff were so accommodating and checked in with us to ensure we had fresh towels and water (we are part of the loyalty program). My husband used the fitness room and said it was modern and had lots of extra amenities like water fountain and towels. The hotel offered coffee and apples in the morning. There is a list a restaurant but we didn’t get a chance to eat there. I would definitely recommend this hotel. "

"The 4-star rating at Union Hotel is a joke and does not reflect reality. Do not book here. We arrived at 2:00 a.m. after a delayed flight with a reservation confirmed over a month in advance. Despite this, the front desk told us no room was prepared. We were forced to wait in the lobby while they hastily cleaned a room that had only just become vacant. Being told at 2:00 a.m. that a confirmed booking isn't ready is a total failure of their system. The rest of the stay was equally substandard. The Wi-Fi was non-functional the entire time, forcing me to rely on my own cellular data for essential tasks. Breakfast was poor, with low-quality food and undrinkable coffee. To top it off, the staff showed zero accountability. When I raised these issues, they dismissed me by claiming they couldn't offer compensation because I booked through Expedia. This is a pathetic excuse for a service provider. The Union Hotel is responsible for the quality of the stay regardless of how the room was paid for. They take your money but fail on the most basic hospitality standards. Stay elsewhere."

One thing to note: if you do require parking, recognize that the garage fills early and it may be closed if you're out and about late at night. We had to park on the street in the early afternoon because the garage was full, but there were two spots available when we came back later in the evening. It's also very tight, so plan your vehicle size accordingly. "
