Oxford is a very walkable city. The hop on hop off bus is worth doing as it gives you a sense of the city, where things are and allows you to travel to various sites easily. Blackwell's Books is worth a visit for book lovers.

Wonderful place to visit especially loved the Ashmolean Museum. If you need a taxi, the best local company was 001 taxis we used them and their communication and time keeping was excellent 👍

There are some interesting museums, & nice restaurants and bars. The colleges are beautiful.Many are open to the public,including events. Eg evensong at Christchurch. The Bodleian Library tour is worth joining. Booking is essential ~2 weeks ahead

Would visit again, we came for the historical sites ,we visited the Magdalen college found it very interesting a beautiful building. The Sheldonian theatre climbed up to the top of the eight sided Cupola to take in the views.

Oxford is a perfect stop for about a day of leisurely activities from seeing St' Mary's church, botanical gardens and the various colleges. Lots of pubs and restaurants with a lovely mall for some retail therapy.
"The Holiday Inn at Peartree has been my choice of hotel for the last 6 years of travelling to Oxford whilst my daughter was at University. This is the perfect location, with super friendly staff, lovely rooms and a great restaurant. Highly recommended. "
"It’s our second time staying at this property. It’s convenient, clean & overall a nice place to stay. As soon as you enter, it smells nice and fresh. The rooms are a good size, generally clean. You can’t hear any outside noise, or from other rooms. You can hear people walking through the corridor but that’s expected (it wasn’t bad at all). The staff were very polite and helpful.
There were only two things I felt could be better - providing dressing gown and/or slippers and the windows in our room were all frosted except one diagonal one. I understand it’s better for privacy but it would be nice to look out the window especially if they don’t open. These things aren’t a deal breaker I would recommend and will return :)"
"I asked for a small room and that is what it was. It would be great for an Oxford student visiting or a seasoned traveler more concerned with the schedule and not the room. Great room for the price, clean and easy. They have bigger rooms and I have not seen them. I was pleased with what I got."
